Presentation Guidelines & Manual

Oral presentation guidelines

Oral presentation time slot is 20 min including a 4 min discussion. (Invited talk is 40 min including a 5 min discussion and Nishizawa Award lecture is 30 min including a 5 min discussion). Speakers can choose whether they will speak at the onsite venue or online.
Please decide in advance and notify us. Sessions will be presented live via Zoom meeting.

***Online Presentation***
 Preparation 
You can choose from two presentation types.

  1. Make a presentation in real time.
  2. Send the recorded video to DPS in advance and play the video presentation.

1. Make a presentation in real time.
We would recommend you to make slide default size that usually is 1920x1080px. (Ratio 16: 9). We will open 8:00 am JST the zoom link in <Participant Portal> Participants Only Page at DPS2022 website for the presenters. Please use the time before the sessions or the break time to test your presentation.

2. Send the recorded video to DPS in advance and play the video presentation.
Please submit your video presentation from Online Submission Page before your presentation. It is appreciate if you submit by Nov. 12 for our preparation.

For log in, you need the registered email address when the abstract submission and your presentation number.

Procedure for video file upload

 The Day of Event(Online) 
Enter the Zoom meeting room via the using your unique Login ID and password before the session starts.

  1. It will be opened at 8:00 am JST the zoom meeting room. Please use the time before the sessions or the break time to test your presentation at “Pre-check room” in the Breakout Room.
  2. Speakers are highly recommended to enter the session room 10 minutes before the session starts before your presentation time
  3. Please indicate your Zoom username (display name) as below.
    Speaker: program number name (affiliation)
    e.g.) A-1_John Smith (Univ. of DPS)

***Onsite Venue Presentation***
 The Day of Event(Onsite) 
The onsite venue is equipped with a projector that is connected with a notebook computer (OS:Windows 10, Microsoft Office) installed with Zoom meeting. Since the conference schedule is very tight, we ask you to copy the PowerPoint file or PDF file for the presentation to the computer using a USB memory or SD card. Please confirm that the file is displayed properly by the PowerPoint or PDF. For PowerPoint templates that are intended to be used on screen presentations, we would ask you to use the default projector size that is 1920x1080px. (Ratio 16: 9). The computer is available in a break time before the session. The copied data file in the computer will be erased after the symposium is finished.
It is not available to use your own PC for the presentation. If you cannot copy data using USD or SD to the computer onsite, please send your presentation file to DPS2022 Secretariat at dps2022@officepolaris.co.jp by email in advance.

<Recording>
If you have answered "Yes" regarding the recording (not included Q & A) and the streaming (not downloadable) for a limited time, we will record your presentation and archive it for streaming (not downloadable) for about a week after the symposium.

Poster presentation guidelines

Each poster presenters is allotted 80 minutes.
 Presentation time (Core time) 
-Speakers of an even presentation number: 18:40 – 20:00 JST, Nov. 24, 2022
-Speakers of an odd presentation number: 8:30 – 9:50 JST, Nov. 25, 2022

Please prepare and submit the e-poster (the poster image) and the 5 to 7 minutes short presentation video of before November 16, 2022.

Poster sessions will be held using Zoom meeting breakout rooms. Please refer the links at the bottom of the page for more information about Zoom.
Enter the Zoom meeting room via the using your unique Login ID and password before the session starts.

After entering the Zoom meeting room, please find your Breakout Room (your presentation number) and enter

  1. Speakers are highly recommended to enter to the session room 10 minutes before the session starts before your presentation time.
  2. Each speaker is required to be present in their allocated Zoom meeting room during their presentation (core) time to answer questions from participants.
  3. Please indicate your Zoom username (display name) as below.
    Speaker: program number name (affiliation)
    e.g.) A-1_John Smith (Univ. of DPS)

The chair will confirm if a presentation made by a presenter or not during the core time.
According to the DPS rules, multiple poster presentations by the same person are not accepted.
Your e-poster (the poster image) and short presentation data will be posted 7 days (Nov. 17) before the symposium in the participant only page. Please note it in advance.
And your e-poster (the poster image) and the short presentation data will be archived for the streaming (not downloadable) about for a week after the symposium.
